Virtual Mobility Grant Description
Virtual Mobility (VM) Grants aim to strengthen existing networks by allowing scientists to foster collaboration in a virtual setting, to exchange knowledge, learn new techniques, disseminate Action results, etc. The successful applicant(s) will be selected by the MC to perform activities that do not necessarily require in-person presence. These activities may include surveys, questionnaires or preparation of protocols, virtual mentoring of activities that can generate capacity, build new skills, etc.

Eligibility Criteria
Evaluation and Selection of Applicants
The evaluation of applications is performed by the CA17111 Action’s VNS Committee with the support of the Virtual Networking Support (VNS) Manager . The selection of successful grantees shall be based on contributions to the overall objectives of the Action (each VNS committee member will assign a max of 20 points to each of the 5 sections addressed in each application) and the implementation of the COST Excellence and Inclusiveness Policy.
The applications shall be submitted in e-COST and include required information detailed in the Vademecum, section 10.2.2. The VM application template is available here.
Implementation of Activities
The requirements on activities expected to be performed by the successful applicant are listed in section 10.2.3 of the Vademecum.
The successful applicants shall implement the workplan approved in their application within the time frame also there defined and within CA17111 Grant Period lasting until October 31, 2021.
The grantee will have the obligation to actively contribute to the activities of the relevant Action WG. More information regarding INTEGRAPE CA17111 Working Groups can be found here.
The grantee has 30 calendar days from the completion of the Virtual Mobility Grant to submit a report to the Action Chair/ the VNS Manager and to the Science Officer of the Action.
Time Schedule and Grant Duration
Deadline for application submission: 8 September 2021
With the provision that the submission and grant implementation will be within the Grant Period lasting until October 31, 2021, taking into account application evaluation processing time of up to 7 days.
Financial Support
A maximum of 6 VM Grants will be awarded in this Grant Period up to an amount of EUR 1500 each (gross value).
The VNS Committee shall confirm the value of each grant based on scope/complexity of the activities. The grant does not necessarily cover all expenses related to undertaking the virtual mobility activity.
The VM grantee will submit a report within 30 days of VM completion. The Grant Holder shall pay the approved grant to the grantee after the VNS committee has approved the grantee’s report and no later than 15 days from the end of Grant Period.
The COST Association and the Grant Holder of the Action cannot be considered as being the grantee’s employer who shall make their own arrangements for all provisions related to personal security, health, taxation, social security, and pension matters. The grantee must also ensure they have the required technical material/equipment and infrastructure to carry out the activities proposed in their application to the grant.
